Filament Rack

Item

The Filament Rack is a simple storage method for spools of filament that I designed in Fusion 360 and printed on my Bambu Labs A1 at home. It snaps together consisting of two parts and can hold up to 3 rolls of filament each. A single rack prints in about 3 hours and allows easy storage of rolls under my desk.

An empty filament rack capable of stacking 3 spools.

The two pieces of the rack taken apart (the base and tower).

Development

The development of this simple tower was easy. Using Fusion 360 and callipers to measure the spools I had I designed the base of the rack and tower as seperate pieces. Originally both were solid, but after slicing the model and seeing the time it would take and material it would waste, I opted to open up the solid middle areas of the base and the center of the tower to save both filament and time.
